Welcome to NeatDish, a product of Pixel Reef, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of NeatDish at neatdish.com and any related subdomains or services (collectively, "the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and that you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Cookie Policy (collectively, the "Agreements"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

NeatDish is an AI-powered recipe generation tool that accepts ingredient inputs from users and returns recipe suggestions produced by third-party artificial intelligence models. The Service may also include barcode scanning (using your device camera and the Open Food Facts API), voice input (using your browser's Web Speech API), dietary filters, shopping list features with optional affiliate links, multilingual content, and offline functionality through a Progressive Web App (PWA) architecture.

3. AI-Generated Content — Critical Disclaimer

⚠ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING

All recipes, cooking instructions, ingredient suggestions, and nutritional information generated by NeatDish are produced by artificial intelligence systems. This content is NOT verified, tested, or reviewed by any human chef, nutritionist, medical professional, dietitian, food scientist, or food-safety authority.

You acknowledge and agree that AI-generated content may:

  • Contain inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or entirely fictitious information.
  • Suggest unsafe cooking temperatures, times, techniques, or procedures that could result in foodborne illness or injury.
  • Fail to identify or accurately list allergens, including but not limited to nuts, shellfish, dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, and sesame.
  • Provide inaccurate nutritional estimates, calorie counts, or macronutrient information.
  • Suggest ingredient combinations that may be harmful, toxic, or dangerous to certain individuals.
  • Recommend ingredients that may interact adversely with medications, medical conditions, or pregnancy.
  • Include unsafe food handling or storage instructions.
  • Produce entirely invented recipes with no basis in established culinary practice.

YOU ASSUME ALL RISK associated with using, preparing, cooking, serving, and consuming any food based on AI-generated content from this Service. You must independently verify all ingredients, allergens, cooking temperatures, food safety practices, and nutritional information before preparing or consuming any recipe.

4. No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide and is not intended as a substitute for medical advice, nutritional counseling, dietary guidance, allergy management, food-safety certification, or any other professional service. All content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

You should consult qualified professionals before relying on any information from the Service, particularly if you have food allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions (including but not limited to diabetes, celiac disease, kidney disease, phenylketonuria, or cardiovascular conditions), are pregnant or nursing, or are preparing food for vulnerable populations including children, the elderly, or immunocompromised individuals.

5. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Independently verify all AI-generated content before acting on it.
  • Not rely solely on the Service for decisions that could affect health, safety, or well-being.

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, crawlers, or similar technologies to access the Service without our express written permission.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, bot protection, human verification, or other security measures.
  • Commercially resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or its outputs without prior written permission.
  • Submit offensive, dangerous, illegal, or harmful content as ingredient inputs.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use the Service to generate content for the purpose of causing harm to any person.

6. Intellectual Property

The NeatDish name, logo, branding, website design, editorial content, and software are the property of Pixel Reef, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

AI-generated recipe content is provided "as is." We make no representations regarding the originality or intellectual property status of AI-generated outputs. You may use AI-generated recipes for personal, non-commercial purposes. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services including but not limited to Straico (AI provider), Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Cloudflare Turnstile, Open Food Facts, and Amazon. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, or accuracy of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PIXEL REEF, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR PERSONAL INJURY, BODILY HARM, ILLNESS, ALLERGIC REACTION, FOODBORNE ILLNESS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT, OR ANY FOOD PREPARED USING INFORMATION FROM THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100.00).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pixel Reef, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; (c) your preparation, cooking, serving, or consumption of food based on AI-generated content from the Service; (d) any allergic reaction, illness, injury, or damage resulting from your use of recipes or information obtained from the Service; or (e) your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED RECIPES) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR SUITABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, SAFETY, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT FOR ANY PURPOSE, INCLUDING HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party service outages, or cyberattacks.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pixel Reef, LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
